Projects
Accelerating Deployment with Multiple Staging Environments

Industry: Enterprise Business Software
My Role: Lead UX Designer on team of 2 designers, 1 product manager, and 5 developers
Problem to solve: Lack of staging environments was delaying deployment of AI assistant for our enterprise-level customers

Modernizing UI and Information Architecture of MyACC portal
Product: MyACC portal - Austin Community College
Industry: Ed Tech, Community College internal software
My Role: Sole UI/UX Designer on cross-functional team
Problem to solve: The MyACC portal, which served 72,000 students, faculty, and staff, needed a visual refresh for modernization. In addition, usability testing revealed that there were several regularly required tasks for which the links could not be located, including the user profile.
Solution: Updated portal design included “Quick links” that aligned with user needs, an expanded menu which correlated to chronological tasks required of most students, and a “role selector” for a phase 2 design which would show role-based sets of links.
Cross-product Data Integration Research and Design
Product: Illume Courses - Civitas Learning
Industry: Ed Tech Software for higher education institutions
My Role: Sole UX Researcher and UX Designer within product team
Problem to solve: Discover ways in which AI predictive analytic data could be extracted in bulk from Illume Courses and surfaced within the company’s complete suite of software tools.
Solution: Within the Degree Map product there were three unique use cases that could all feasibly support the use of icons and tooltips to surface the predictive analytics from Illume Courses. I created a proof-of-concept prototype for each use case and presented these and my research findings to the product manager and VP of Product.

Website and branded assets for The Lab Dance Convention
Product: Websites, promotional fliers, and award certificates - The Lab Dance Convention
Industry: Freelance small business website and graphic design
My Role: Sole Proprietor, Website Designer, Graphic Designer, and Photographer
Problem to solve: Create a branded informational website that is responsive for multiple devices, and can support participant registration, videos (version 2) and social media links.
Solution: I implemented a WordPress template to create an 8-page responsive website, did a photoshoot with my client’s dance students to use on the website, and created branded promotional fliers and award certificates to give to participants. Logo, faculty headshots, and written content were provided by my client. I also completed a visual redesign of the site and related assets for the following year of the convention.
